MUTANT CITY/ CHIMAERA
Screenwriter: Philip Carr
Genre: Sci-Fi
For years a bio lab has been flushing secret experiments with human/animal embryos into the warm, nutrient-rich sewers of New York City, where bizarre mutants have began reproducing by their thousands. Animal-lover, Detective John McKenna is part of a SWAT team assigned to eradicate all life-forms from the sewage system.
Many of the hybrids they encounter are vicious and hideous, but some are passive creatures with distinctly human characteristics and McKenna begins to have qualms about his task.
When he discovers a hauntingly beautiful female hybrid shivering in a doorway, he determines to save her, and risks all by taking her away to an abandoned cabin in woods.
